Helping Churches Help
Working together we can make a difference.
The Bergen County Council of Churches is a coalition of churches who minister in Bergen County since its establishment in 1953. The Council provides a central meeting for all Christian Churches of Bergen County. The Council serves as a primary interface with the County government and services. The Bergen County Council of Churches is the only Coucil of Churches in the State of New Jersey.
The Bergen County Council of Churches seeks to be a channel of grace whereby the Christian Community can fulfill the words of Jesus found in Matthew 25:35-36
For I was hungry, and you fed Me.
I was thirsty and you gave Me to drink.
I was a stranger, and you invited Me into your home.
I was naked, and you gave Me clothing.
I was sick and you cared for Me.
I was in prison, and you visted Me.
We seek to be the Body of Christ through which local churches extend their Christian witness in Bergen County.
Our meetings are held every third Wednesday of each month at 12 Noonat the Clinton Avenue Reformed Church, Bergenfield, Nj. All clergy are welcome to attend There are no meetings July and August.
